Compensation Strategist

Popular Bank is seeking a skilled Compensation Strategist to join its team. As an integral part of the Compensation Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for designing and implementing compensation policies and programs that align with the bank's business strategy.

The Compensation Strategist will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, develop compensation strategies, and implement solutions that support talent attraction, retention, and development. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing market data and industry benchmarks to inform compensation decisions;
• Designing and implementing compensation programs that drive business results;
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, HR business partners, and compensation vendors;
• Providing expert advice on compensation-related matters, including job leveling, classification, and equity analysis;
• Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective recruitment and hiring practices.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits, preferably in a financial institution;
• Demonstrated expertise in compensation design, implementation, and administration;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders;
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
• Familiarity with HRIS systems, such as SAP or Workday, is a plus.
