Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Area Chief Engineer to lead our team in the development of innovative GPS and Anti-Jam solutions for the warfighter. As a key member of our Resilient Navigation Sensors and Avionics team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the work of Chief Engineers on the team to ensure alignment with program needs and achievement of project outcomes
  • Work with the Value Stream Leader to ensure project scope is agreed and aligned with contractual commitments
  • Oversee high-level execution of engineering work packages in accordance with contracts and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with project Integrated Product Team leaders, POs, and CAMs to determine project resource demand and ensure adequate resources are available
  • Manage customer technical interface, program risks, and opportunities for technical execution of the program
  • Monitor functional and product baselines and manage changes from the customer
  • Support project manager in identifying cost/schedule impacts for out-of-scope requests
  • Lead technical development team by coordinating engineering tasks and activities required
  • Undertake project management function and lead technical development team
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects and large engineering teams
  • Project Management and Systems engineering experience in engineering design and development of systems/products involving hardware and software components
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience
  • ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance or higher required
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management and Systems engineering experience in engineering design and development of systems/products involving GPS and Anti-Jam capability
  • Formal training in project management
  • Demonstrated success developing and delivering complex, high-technology products involving software, hardware, and integrated systems
  • Demonstrated experience as a systems engineer throughout the entire systems development process
  • Prior experience with bid and pursuit work in a U.S. government acquisition model
  • Familiarity with engineering development in an Agile and DEVSECOPS environment
