Substance Abuse Therapist

About the Role:

WestCare is seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive services to clients struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to determine their individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, focusing on substance abuse and mental health recovery.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and referrals to ensure seamless transitions for clients.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and address any challenges or concerns.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and treatment plans.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required. Certification in substance abuse counseling or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
