ICP Group is looking to identify a Surveyor/Inspector to join our team in Puerto Rico.  The Roofing Inspector is responsible for evaluating the condition of roofing systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
This role involves conducting thorough inspections, preparing detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions to maintain the integrity and functionality of roofing systems.  You will also have responsibility to determine legal property boundaries.
They provide data and compile legal documents—called surveys—for building and mapmaking.
Responsibilities :   Perform on-site inspections of roofing systems to assess conditions, identify defects, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
Inspect roof installations to ensure compliance with building codes, manufacturer guidelines, and project requirements.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, sketches, and written documentation of findings.
Provide recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or replacement based on inspection results.
Verify that roofing materials and installation techniques meet quality standards.
Monitor the progress of roofing projects to ensure adherence to timelines and specifications.
Ensure that all inspections are conducted in compliance with occupational safety and health standards.
Identify potential safety hazards and report them promptly.
Communicate inspection results and findings to clients, contractors, and project managers.
Provide technical guidance and answer questions related to roofing systems.
Maintain accurate records of all inspections, assessments, and follow-up actions.
Ensure timely submission of reports to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate through the SOHO application to ensure time/location meet.
Conduct physical roof site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools.
Prepare sketches and notes of roofs.
Account for number of items and electronics on roof.
Ability to bend, reach, stand, walk and lift up to 50lbs without difficulty.
Coordinate field staff and process field data.
Interface with civil engineers, landscape architects, cartographers, or urban planners.
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Calculate areas of land parcels and easements using mathematics and computer software.
Prepare site survey documents and present findings to clients.
Experience needed   High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification in roofing inspection, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 of experience in roofing, construction, or inspection roles.
Familiarity with various roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
Proficiency with inspection tools and technology, including drones, moisture meters, and thermal imaging devices.
Relevant certifications such as RRC (Registered Roof Consultant) or RRO (Registered Roof Observer) are a plus.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to inspection sites.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Ability to climb ladders, walk on roofs, and work in confined spaces.
Capability to lift up to 75lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
