Job DescriptionThe Business Systems Engineering Lead will be working with the following Vistex modules: Commissions, Vendor Rebates, Customer Rebates, Territory Management, and Chargebacks. This role is a functional/technical role, and the candidate should have experience with Vistex complex custom programming, configuration, and business processes. You will have experience designing, troubleshooting, writing, and supporting ABAP development as required.
This position functions as a liaison working with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. The Software Engineer/Vistex role consists of the tasks, knowledge, and techniques required to identify business needs and to determine and assess proposed solutions to business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in and/or drive design effort focusing on end-to-end process optimization, using standard system functionality whenever possible.
- Provide business systems analysis and process redesign expertise, interacting with business partners to clearly define and document business requirements.
- Create and maintain functional and technical specifications/documentation for the applications required at various phases of the System Development Life Cycle within Solution Manager.
- Participate in and/or drive the system configuration, and development which meet security, architecture, and support requirements, all while satisfying business needs.
- Understand the systemic data requirements as they relate to improving/changing the business process or system.
- Participate and/or coordinate required testing/validation of system enhancements and fixes, creating and/or executing test cases including problem determination and resolution.
- Collaborate with business partners regarding deployment needs, training, communications, change management, and implementation of the application change.
- Apply project management standards ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner; communicates status and escalates open/unresolved issues, when necessary, in Service Now and JIRA.
- Participate in system emergency or crisis situations to define/implement workaround processes, corrective action, communication, and system cleanup activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of configuration and/or development experience in a broad range of hardware and software products.
- Expert ability to design, develop, test, and deploy applications/systems using proven or technologies within a variety of technologies and environments.
- Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages and techniques.
- Exercises independent judgment in guidance for alternative solutions and application of key technologies.
- Strong usage of conceptual thinking to understand advanced business challenges and implications.
- Embeds data analytics capabilities and understanding of key business data models, contributes to cross-functional data asset solutions or can be a key expert representing domain in data discussions.
- Strong ability to collaborate with architects to design the best solutions.
