Job Summary:
The Director, Social Work is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the Social Services Department at Med-Metrix. This role requires a strong background in social work, leadership, and management, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital standards.
- Provide leadership and supervision to social work staff, including LMSW staff members seeking clinical licensure.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure smooth integration of Case Management/Social Work services across the continuum.
- Develop and evaluate case management for high-risk/high-volume patients, utilizing data to improve department activities and performance.
- Identify and manage clinical revenue enhancement projects, and assist with programs providing learning experiences for staff and affiliating students.
- Communicate and interpret policy additions/ revisions to staff, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Minimum of 5 years hospital social work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of social work leadership experience
- New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) LCSW Licensure required
Working Conditions:
The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress. Work environment is well-lighted/ventilated office setting, subject to frequent interruptions. Minimal occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, noxious odors, latex, or musculoskeletal injuries.
