Veterinary Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Team Manager to lead our veterinary technician team at Upturn Co. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the veterinary technician team, ensuring top-notch patient care, and maintaining a high standard of excellence in all clinical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor the veterinary technician team to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient workflow.
- Schedule and assign tasks to guarantee smooth coverage and optimal performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster growth and improvement.
- Patient Care
- Oversee and assist with the preparation, monitoring, and recovery of animals during surgical and medical procedures to guarantee their safety and well-being.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians to ensure accurate and timely care.
- Ensure accurate patient records and proper documentation of procedures to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Clinic Operations
- Maintain and manage medical supplies and equipment to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize downtime.
- Assist in developing and updating clinic protocols and procedures to guarantee compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards in all areas of the clinic to prevent errors and promote a healthy environment.
- Client Interaction
- Educate clients on post-treatment care, preventive care, and medication administration to empower them with knowledge and confidence.
- Address client concerns with professionalism and empathy to build trust and loyalty.
- Emergency Care
- Provide immediate and efficient support during emergency situations to guarantee prompt response and effective resolution.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified veterinary technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in veterinary medicine, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient in animal restraint, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia monitoring, and laboratory testing.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to motivate and direct the team.
- Passionate about providing high-quality care for animals and dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
