Job Description:

The Nursing Specialist at Psi plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include observing and recording patient behavior, performing physical examinations and diagnostic tests, collecting patient health history, counseling and educating patients and their families on treatment plans, administering medication, changing wound dressings, and caring for other treatment options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe and record patient behavior
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
• Collect patient health history
• Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans
• Administer medication, change wound dressings, and care for other treatment options
• Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate
• Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients
• Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes
• Assist doctors and other medical personnel by performing common patient care duties
• Provide and coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and the public about illnesses, diseases, and health conditions
• Work in nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and other medical facilities
• Support doctors and medical professionals by performing various health functions

Requirements:

To be successful as a Nursing Specialist at Psi, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, be a certified licensed nurse, and an active member of the Professional Nursing Organization. Fluency in Spanish and English (written & verbal) is also required. Additionally, good communication skills and teamwork abilities are essential. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Internet skills are necessary. Knowledge of applicable Regulations is a plus, and experience in occupational health and case management is preferred.
