Warehouse Logistics Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at a locally owned and operated public refrigerated warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for unloading and loading customer product, scanning product, and placing it correctly in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload and load customer product using a sit-down forklift
• Scan product and place it correctly in the warehouse
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Identify any safety concerns and cost-saving opportunities
• Load and unload trucks and rail cars
• Move product onto the pallet in the correct position
• Check for accuracy and placement
• Direct product to the correct area in the warehouse
• Pack product using shrink-wrap
• Attach the correct labels to the product
• Move product safely using a forklift, pallet jack, or dock loader
• Follow instructions for operating equipment
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic
• Sweep work area as needed
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to the supervisor
• Inventory products as needed
• Label, sort, wrap, and tie products

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Ability to become Forklift certified - prior experience preferred
• Familiar with WMS and RF
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to read numbers and labels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in cold storage is highly desired but not required
