Electrical Technician Job Description

RQ Construction is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of electrical principles.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Ensure work is done in accordance with relevant codes
  • Apply technical knowledge of electrical principles
  • Use appropriate equipment and implement required safety practices
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Four or more years of field or trade work experience as a journey-level wireman in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required
  • Valid electrician's license or journeyman card is preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications are required
Compensation

Pay is based on specific project location and follows Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage requirements, which vary from military base to military base. The hourly range is approximately $20-28hr, eligible for overtime.
