Electrical Technician Job Description

RQ Construction is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a qualified Electrician to work on various electrical projects, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes and safety practices.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Apply technical knowledge of electrical principles to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Work with a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, supplemented by completion of a trade school apprenticeship program.
  • Four or more years of field or trade work experience as a journey-level wireman in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required.
  • Valid electrician's license or journeyman card is preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications are required.
  • Ability to provide necessary tools and equipment for the job.
What We Offer

RQ Construction offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.20-20PH, DOE, with opportunities for overtime. Compensation is based on specific project location and follows Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage requirements.
