Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forge Helper to join our team at Volt. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of presses and hammers, as well as performing various tasks to support the forging process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation of presses and hammers, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Clean and maintain dies, tools, and equipment.
- Perform routine duties, including sweeping dies and operating furnace controls.
- Set up and use impression stamps.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.
