Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Consultant Expert to join our team at Appleone. As a key member of our tax accounting firm, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, providing exceptional client service, and ensuring strict compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to build strong relationships and maintain existing client partnerships.
  • Accurately prepare and review Puerto Rico and Federal tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts.
  • Prepare and review sales tax returns and quarterly tax returns.
  • Conduct in-depth tax planning and projections to ensure optimal financial outcomes.
  • Research and resolve complex technical tax issues.
  • Address notices from Hacienda and the IRS with precision and urgency.
  • Perform various bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain up-to-date tax compliance calendars to ensure timely submissions.
  • Develop and train staff accountants to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related business field.
  • At least 2 years of professional tax experience.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional client service skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
