Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide patient care. The successful candidate will possess training and education that allows them to assist the physical therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to the state practice act and laws governing physical therapist assistants.
- Review and adhere to the Vibrantcare Clinical Operations Policies & Procedures Manual on a yearly basis.
- Complete required trainings and certifications, including Medicare compliance and OSHA training.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of treatment areas and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a physical therapist assistant education program accredited by CAPTE or a substantially equivalent education.
- Current valid state license/registration/certification.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and maintain open communication with colleagues and patients.
