Housekeeper Job Description

At Arcadia Care, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that work schedules are followed and cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Report any accidents or incidents to your supervisor, no matter how minor.
  • Clean floors, fixtures, and equipment, using a floor scrubber and other necessary tools.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff when performing routine cleaning assignments.
  • Discard waste and trash properly, and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
  • Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
  • Use personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and hazardous wastes.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and solutions.
  • Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents with varying maturity levels.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include moving intermittently throughout the workday, coping with mental and emotional stress, and pushing, pulling, moving, and/or lifting a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet.
