Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse Supervisor with UCLA Health, you will be part of our Homeless Health Program team, working closely with patients experiencing homelessness and at-risk populations. Your role will involve:
- Providing guidance and support to medical assistant staff.
- Oversight of Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) in patient care activities, including administering medications, monitoring blood pressure, and assisting with bathing or dressing.
- Collaborating with the street medicine team in our mobile medical unit and other clinical sites to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Performing supervisory duties such as time sheet corrections, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Contributing to problem-solving efforts for clinic operations.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Two years of experience in providing primary care in a pediatric setting.
- Experience working with homeless populations and at-risk populations.
- California State Licensed Vocational Nurse (IV certified) licensure.
- Phlebotomy certification and BCLS/BLS card.
- Current California State Driver's License and ability to drive a mobile clinic van.
- Effective communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to prioritize and follow through on assignments in a busy setting.
Preferred Qualifications:

Effective oral and written bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
Ability to travel between sites in LA County as needed.
Knowledge of health education, public health, and medical terminology.
