Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Installer III to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a Fire Installer III, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting fire systems to ensure the highest level of safety and security for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced personnel with troubleshooting and resolving system problems, requiring a strong understanding of fire and security products, software, and systems.
  • Perform commissioning documentation and provide accurate information for as-built documentation.
  • Adhere to safety standards and local and national codes, with a strong emphasis on employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Maintain local and national security/fire industry certifications.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, understanding their needs, wants, and existing systems.
  • Assist in monitoring project execution and reporting problems or changes to supervisors or management.
  • Complete paperwork and on-site documentation as required.
  • Engage in self-study to maintain technical proficiency on required products and applications.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or diploma, plus demonstrated technical aptitude.
  • One year of experience in installing fire or security systems, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Electronics certification from an accredited technical school or military electronics training is desired.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
  • Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to explain technical information to non-technical individuals.
