At Cardinal Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist II to join our team in providing exceptional pharmacy services to our customers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of patient care.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacist II will be responsible for reviewing electronic medical records and prescriptions to ensure accuracy, indication, and safety. You will also advise on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication administration. Additionally, you will plan, implement, or maintain procedures for order entry and verification, and provide customer service to patients and doctors.

Responsibilities:

  • Review electronic medical records and/or prescriptions to assure accuracy, indication, and safety, according with the clinical parameter for each patient
  • Review electronic medical records and/or prescriptions to advise regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication administration
  • Plan, implement, or maintain procedures for order entry and verification to each electronic medical record and/or prescription, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper administration
  • Provide customer service to patients and doctors
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians
  • Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks
  • Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD is required
  • Active Pharmacist License and Registration for PR is required
  • 1+ years of experience is preferred
  • Strong people and attention to detail skills
  • Strong customer services focus
  • Availability to work overnight, weekends and holidays is required
  • Must have Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Fully bilingual English and Spanish oral and written is required
  • A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either:2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
