Job Summary:
The Production Associate will be responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. This includes performing assigned tasks in a proficient manner, maintaining high quality standards, and adhering to company and work rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove cleaned garments from carts and inspect for damage or excessive wear.
- Grade merchandise per pre-established standards and properly turn and fold garments and other items.
- Move folded and bundled items to the route make-up area by conveyor or cart.
- Press garments utilizing automatic pressing machines as needed.
- Inspect garments for damage, excessive wear, or failure to properly clean and report findings to the appropriate person.
Working Environment:
The Production Associate will work in a fast-paced industrial laundry environment, requiring the ability to lift and maneuver up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally. The position requires standing, walking, and pushing/pulling carts.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support an environment of continuous improvement.
