Position Overview:

As a Production Associate at Vestis, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient operation of our industrial laundry facility. Your responsibilities will include handling merchandise, inspecting garments for quality, and ensuring accurate and safe handling practices.

Essential Functions:

• Perform tasks with proficiency, adhering to production standards and quality guidelines.
• Inspect materials for damage or excessive wear, reporting findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area, promptly reporting any issues or malfunctions.
• Adhere to company and work rules, effectively collaborating with the team.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement through suggestion and implementation.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned, within the scope of the job.

Specific Tasks:

• Remove cleaned garments from carts.
• Inspect and grade merchandise according to established standards.
• Properly fold and package garments, placing them in plastic bags.
• Move folded and bundled items to the route make-up area via conveyor or cart.
• Operate automatic pressing machines to press garments as needed.
• Place garments on hampers and conveyor systems for further processing.
• Inspect garments for damage, excessive wear, or improper cleaning, reporting findings to the appropriate personnel.

Working Environment:

The role requires physical activities such as lifting, reaching, bending, walking, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling. You must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ pounds.

Job Type:

This is a full-time position with the possibility of overtime. Notification of overtime may occur on short notice.

Experience:

Manufacturing experience is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
