Job Summary

Villa Restaurant Group is seeking a skilled Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a critical role in preparing ingredients, maintaining quality control, and ensuring a smooth service experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
  • Maintain strict quality control to ensure all ingredients meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Set up and organize the prep station with all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment for efficient cooking.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food storage, handling, and temperature monitoring.
  • Work efficiently to ensure all prepped ingredients are readily available for use during service hours.
  • Keep the prep area and equipment clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
  • Assist in monitoring ingredient inventory levels and notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages or replenishment needs.
  • Familiarize yourself with menu items, variations, and any allergen information to assist kitchen staff and servers.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen Team Members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a prep cook or kitchen assistant is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work 4pm - Midnight shift.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and knife skills.
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
