Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical charts for patients to ensure accurate medical treatments and procedures.
- Order supplies for the unit and maintain a high level of organization.
- Act as the central contact person for the nursing unit, performing transcription, clerical, and reception duties.
- Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee to coordinate non-nursing/non-clinical activities essential to the effective functioning of the nursing unit.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Medical or healthcare experience desirable, but willing to train otherwise qualified candidates.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and procedures.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff, and providers.
