Supervisor Nursing Of Labor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Nursing Of Labor to join our team at Postjobmatches By Workstaff Usa. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our Critical Care units, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a collaborative approach to care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager in providing overall leadership and direction for the Critical Care units
  • Create an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary team and collaborative approach to care
  • Participate in overseeing all aspects of the care delivery system and work organizationally to improve service
  • Develop and implement an operational budget annually, monitoring performance monthly
  • Provide leadership along with the manager for the unit on a day-to-day operational basis
  • Accountable for ensuring the provision of patient care 24 hours a day, rounding on patients to obtain insight into care provision and patient satisfaction
  • Develop, implement, and monitor unit-based quality improvement programs, using lean principles in problem-solving departmental and intra-departmental operational issues
  • Lead the efforts for the unit to develop and achieve best operational and clinical practice, reinforcing positive outcomes and demonstrating corrective action for identified problems
  • Establish strong rapport with physicians, staff, and peers, communicating effectively
  • Ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with professional, regulatory, and medical center and department standards
  • Accountable for appropriate patient care based on assignment patterns, patient/family satisfaction from rounding, and appropriately intervening and using sound judgment in problem-solving

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
  • Washington Registered Nurse License required upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire
  • 2 years recent experience in Critical Care with demonstrated clinical knowledge and leadership qualities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Charge Nurse
