RQ Construction, LLC is a leading player in Southern California's commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. With an expanding national and international presence, we seek Concrete General Labor candidates to join our Self-Perform team on construction projects.

About the Position:

As a Concrete General Laborer, you will work within a crew of team members performing tasks that involve physical labor at construction sites. This includes using hand and power tools, assisting other craft workers, cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, setting braces for support, erecting scaffolding, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing non-hazardous waste materials.

You may also operate various types of power construction equipment, repair and maintain equipment as needed, and implement required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

This position works 10 hour days, Monday-Thursday, with varying start times and possible overtime.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Two or more years' field or trade work experience in a commercial, facilities operations setting is desired, but not required.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills are desirable.
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications are preferred.
  • Specific training or certificates in trenching and shoring, fall protection, confined space, forklift/manlift, lockout/tagout, scissor lift/boom lift, EM-385, OSHA 10-hour, and OSHA 30-hour are preferred.
