Job Title: Sr. Packaging Engineer

At Packstaff, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Packaging Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our packaging team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing product packaging to ensure product integrity and appeal under varying shipping and other conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and test packaging materials to ensure durability, cost-effectiveness, and production line compatibility.
  • Develop and implement packaging solutions to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality, to ensure packaging meets customer service and quality requirements.
  • Lead packaging development and improvement projects to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain packaging-related SOPs and work instructions.
  • Conduct failure investigations and root cause analysis for customer complaints and plant issues.
  • Develop and implement packaging validation protocols and reports.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in packaging engineering design with a strong understanding of ASTM, ISO, and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective communications with internal and external manufacturing partners.
  • Results-oriented with a strong ability to manage and motivate during continuous change.
  • Experience in Lean and Six Sigma, or equivalent, desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
