About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Petco. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and providing a positive experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, as well as preventive care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with referral hospitals to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in rounds, disseminate knowledge, and contribute to the growth of a productive practice.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.

As a Veterinary Care Specialist at Petco, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $93,600.00 - $199,680.00 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health and financial benefits, 401K, incentives, and PTO.
