Job Overview
As an Executive Business Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, you will serve as the strategic business leader of property operations, overseeing various departments including Front Office, Retail/Gift Shops, Recreation/Fitness Center, Housekeeping, Security/Loss Prevention, Engineering/Maintenance, Food and Beverage/Culinary, and Event Management. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement the operations strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand's service strategy and initiatives. This role requires a strong focus on driving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and maximizing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the operations strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand's service strategy and initiatives
• Oversee various departments, including Front Office, Retail/Gift Shops, Recreation/Fitness Center, Housekeeping, Security/Loss Prevention, Engineering/Maintenance, Food and Beverage/Culinary, and Event Management
• Drive guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and maximize financial performance
• Collaborate with direct reports to develop and implement operational strategies
• Analyze operational challenges and facilitate the development of solutions to prevent reoccurrence
• Coach and support operations team to effectively manage occupancy & rate, wages, and controllable expenses
Requirements
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years' experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
• OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years' experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in driving business results
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, guests, and stakeholders
• Proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
• Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, including front office, food and beverage, and housekeeping
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
