About the Role:
At American Vision Partners, we are seeking an experienced ASC Nurse Manager Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and efficient environment for patients during the pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases of their stay.
Responsibilities:
• Promote a favorable image of the facilities to staff, physicians, patients, and the public
• Assist with supervising the ASC team, including RNs, Scrub Technicians, Surgery Assistants, and Front Office Receptionists
• Encourage a team-oriented environment and follow company guidelines and policies
• Maintain personnel files, mentor, and coach team members to improve performance and enhance skills
• Assist with managing budgetary responsibilities for the surgery center
• Perform the duties of a peri-operative staff nurse
• Ensure facility environmental standards are met
• Maintain current knowledge of procedures as appropriate to the practice area and provide in-service education opportunities for new equipment and techniques
• Oversee inventory of supplies and medications
• Maintain logbooks with current information
• Perform quality assurance activities and conduct quarterly QA meetings
• Work with the ASC Nurse Manager to implement Life Safety guidelines and monitor compliance to Life Safety regulations, including conducting quarterly fire drills
• Ensure all equipment is in working order
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current RN License in Arizona
• BCLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 3 years management experience preferred
• Previous experience working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• Strong financial aptitude and computer skills
• Ability to lead a team by demonstrating a positive attitude, openness to change, willingness to help, and respect for others and their ideas
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Flexible schedule, Monday through Friday
