Digital Court Reporter

Planet Depos is seeking a skilled Digital Court Reporter to join our team. As a Digital Court Reporter, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality audio and video recordings of depositions and other legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate audio and video equipment in a professional and tidy manner.
• Position and monitor microphone placement for optimal audio capture.
• Mix multiple audio tracks for proper level and monitor for interference on a portable audio interface.
• Establish and maintain appropriate video framing consistent with legal videography norms.
• Assist clients with audio, video, and technology issues.
• Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of departmental policy, the legal field, and audio and video technology.
• Track and log key legal events during legal proceedings.
• Swear in deponents and capture their spoken testimony under oath.

Requirements:

• 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of the legal industry.
• Comfortable with A/V technologies and digital recording.
• Professional appearance and experience dealing face-to-face with clients.
• Ability to adapt to unexpected circumstances and operate on a changing schedule.
• Reliable mode of transportation and ability to lift up to 50lbs.
