As a Sushi Chef at Bashas', you will play a crucial role in the operation of our prepared foods department. You will work closely with the Sushi Team Lead to achieve sales and customer service goals, ensuring a high level of food safety and sanitation in the department.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the production, ordering, and receiving of ingredients and supplies.
- Prepare sushi and other menu items to fill cases and customer orders, maintaining AJ's quality standards.
- Assist with menu planning and development, including creativity and experimentation with new trends and menu ideas.
- Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements.
- Maintain open communication with all members of the meat department.
- Ensure a high degree of cleanliness throughout the preparation area.
- Operate a cash register, including proper cash handling and all forms of tender per company policy.
- 18 years of age or older.
- 21 years of age or older for positions that serve alcohol.
