Job Description

As a Sushi Chef at Bashas', you will play a crucial role in the operation of our prepared foods department. You will work closely with the Sushi Team Lead to achieve sales and customer service goals, ensuring a high level of food safety and sanitation in the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the production, ordering, and receiving of ingredients and supplies.
  • Prepare sushi and other menu items to fill cases and customer orders, maintaining AJ's quality standards.
  • Assist with menu planning and development, including creativity and experimentation with new trends and menu ideas.
  • Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements.
  • Maintain open communication with all members of the meat department.
  • Ensure a high degree of cleanliness throughout the preparation area.
  • Operate a cash register, including proper cash handling and all forms of tender per company policy.
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • 21 years of age or older for positions that serve alcohol.
