About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Linux Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Digital Technology organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Your expertise in Linux systems administration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cybersecurity professionals will be crucial in defining computing requirements and creating end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
  • Maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must have an active transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance or prior SCI/program eligibility prior to start date.
  • Must have Linux systems administration experience.
  • Experience with one of the following: Windows, VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods.
