About the Role:
CAMBA seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Social Work Supervisor to lead our team of dedicated professionals at the Broadway House Women's Shelter. As a key member of our social services team, you will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, and support to staff members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with clients, direct reporting staff, peers, supervisors, and funders to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
- Develop and implement quarterly training sessions for staff professional development, focusing on psychoeducation, mental health assessments, and other essential techniques.
- Serve as a liaison with community-based organizations and local mental health service providers to establish linkage agreements and enhance service delivery.
- Motivate and coach direct reporting staff to excel in their roles, ensuring they complete necessary case management documentations and charting documentation accurately.
- Assist in program content development to address residents' needs related to housing, substance abuse treatment, mental health, and employment.
- Provide crisis interventions, follow-up, and support in critical incidents with clients.
- Encourage teamwork and troubleshoot program problems, making decisions in accordance with program policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct one-on-one supervision of direct reporting staff, assessing and improving work performance, identifying training needs, and promoting professional development.
- Administer constructive discipline, when necessary, and monitor clients' progress toward their goals, documenting via progress notes.
- Review all documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity, ensuring data integrity and staff utilization of the electronic database.
- Manage time effectively, coordinating program activities to maximize staff time and lead administrative and staff meetings as requested.
- Provide all required information for reports to CAMBA management and/or funders, and prepare marketing materials and outreach efforts to recruit clients.
Requirements:
- Licensed Master's Degree in Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Master's Degree in Counseling/Guidance.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, with a strong background in social work, mental health, and leadership.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff members.
