Residential Support Specialist

Job Overview

The Residential Aide will provide ongoing support to all onsite services at City Sanctuary Facility. This role assists with guests' basic needs and works in conjunction with the case management team to monitor and provide appropriate basic services to families.

Responsibilities

1. Document all families, staff, and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
2. Complete census forms, report all incidents, and log all events.
3. Facilitate resident new admissions and move-outs.
4. Generate and submit nightly rosters and file all documentation relating to shift coverage.
5. Provide a professional greeting to all visitors and callers.
6. Ensure the lobby and front of the building are always cleared.
7. Prevent loitering in all areas within and surrounding the building in conjunction with security.
8. Assist with fire drills/emergency evacuations.
9. Assist custodial and security staff with the maintenance and security of the facility.
10. Distribute mail to families.
11. Facilitate room check and hourly rounds.
12. Facilitate the food distribution process, including receiving food delivery.
13. Implement all programmatic needs as necessary and outlined by the Site and Social Services Directors.
14. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of experience in a housing or shelter program, services, and operations. Spanish/English bilingual fluency is required, as well as strong customer services background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with families.
