Job Title: Financial Reporting Analyst

Job Summary:

Jobleads-Us is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Analyst to support and provide assistance to senior management in the Office of Budget Planning and Institutional Research. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating reporting and analysis regarding budget and actual data, reconciling information between SAP FM, IP, and other university data systems, and developing models to forecast financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position Budget Data Reconciliation: Responsible for the reconciliation of position budget data in HCM to FM funded amounts.
  • Position Funding Worklist Review: Responsible for reviewing all position funding worklist items and determines if approval is warranted.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce metrics or other types of reports from the various financial, budgeting, human resources, and legacy systems across the institution.
  • Budget Development and Operation: Assist with the operation of the University's annual development and quarterly confirmation process for operating budgets and the distribution of approved budgets.
  • Forecasting and Analysis: Monitor and maintain the University's current and long-range forecasting tools for the University's budget, and prepare various analysis detailing trends, discrepancies, or amendments that occurred to both the recurring, non-recurring budgets.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: In coordination with Budget and Planning management, consult with various offices and officers, including the President, Provost, and Executive Vice President to identify short- and long-term funding issues facing the University, and take a leadership role during the various analysis and projects that occur throughout the year, as well as potentially supervising analysts during various projects.
  • Internal and External Reporting: Analyze current year activity in central accounts, assimilate data, prepare special internal and external reports, analysis, and presentation materials and documents as requested for executive review, and assist in all University budget presentations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance or management required.

- 5-8 years in a related field required.

- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; SAP preferred but not required.

- Solid understanding of accounting & budgeting principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Interpersonal skills, including experience in Leadership and working on a team, and ability to interact with all levels of senior management.
