Job Description

The Controls Sales Representative plays a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, developing robust relationships with customers, and driving sales growth. This includes:

  • Identifying viable leads, managing prospects, and acquiring new commercial and industrial business to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets.
  • Utilizing the Company's Contact Relationship Management tool on a daily basis to schedule and document activities and develop information profiles on prospective customers.
  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations to new clients, following up with key decision makers, and closing all sales.
  • Completing scheduled phone blocks and cold call prospecting activities to establish initial and follow-up appointments with customer decision-makers.
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the Company's available Automation and Controls capabilities and offerings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC and Controls industry.
  • Knowledge with contracting language and documentation.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
