Job Summary

As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) at United Rentals, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing complex rental equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet, while providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including electronic documentation.
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment.
  • Assist with equipment pick-up and delivery, as well as other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 3-5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Strong background knowledge of various engines.
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
