RQ Construction is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

This role is responsible for assisting electricians with tasks requiring less skill, while also operating equipment, cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, setting braces for support, erecting scaffolding, and removing non-hazardous waste materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist electricians with tasks requiring less skill
  • Operate equipment, including heavy machinery and vehicles
  • Clean and prepare sites for construction
  • Dig trenches and set braces for support
  • Erect scaffolding and remove non-hazardous waste materials

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of field or trade work experience as an Operator in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • Preferred certifications: Trenching and shoring training, Fall protection training, Confined space training, Forklift/Manlift training and certificate, Lockout/Tagout training, Scissor lift/boom lift certificate, EM-385 OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 10-hour
