Job Overview

Responsibilities
Develops and applies computer-aided design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in investigation and solution assessment. Plans technical projects for the design and development of CAD software, defining and selecting new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs, prepares design specifications, analysis, and recommendations for presentation and approval. May specify materials, equipment, and supplies required for completion of projects and evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products.

Requirements
Mid-level Control/Systems Engineering experience with connecting to machines both PLC and PC controlled and knowledge of Kepware and Ignition. Ability to connect new sensors and determine the best way to get data from these or back to the machine PLC. Ability to work with the site to define LAN drops and switch installs, organize downtime windows for machine upgrades/LAN drop installs, etc. Knowledge of databases and PC applications would be nice but not essential.
