Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PRN Pharmacist/On Call to join our team at Cardinal Health.

About the Role

This is a part-time, on-call position that requires the candidate to work varying shifts and weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical consultations to physicians, nurses, and staff of the pharmacy in relation to doubts about patient therapy.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required, along with an active license from the Department of Health in PR and registration with the Office of Regulation of Health Professionals in PR.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical consultations to physicians, nurses, and staff of the pharmacy
  • Review medical orders, promote use of hospital protocols and policies
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians
  • Maintain accurate records of all prescription medication received and dispensed
  • Ensure policies are in place regarding accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a system of documentation of pharmaceutical interventions in the pharmacy system
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
  • Active license from the Department of Health in PR
  • Registration with the Office of Regulation of Health Professionals in PR
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fully bilingual English and Spanish oral and written
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
