Job Description

The Financial Risk Consultant plays a critical role in assessing the adequacy of internal controls in the Information Technology Division. This includes identifying weaknesses in systems and processes, creating action plans to address issues, preventing audit findings, and promoting best practices.

This position requires a strong understanding of IT environments and processes, as well as the ability to connect the dots between different processes and their impact on the overall business. The Financial Risk Consultant must work collaboratively with teams to create a solid information technology culture and collaborate with clients to develop policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate risks and controls related to IT processes and activities.
  • Provide guidance and support in developing documentation of risks, control descriptions, and remediation plans.
  • Perform general and application control reviews and assessments for simple to complex computer information systems.
  • Follow up on audit findings, self-identified issues, and other regulatory findings to ensure management takes corrective action.
  • Prepare and present written and oral reports and technical information in a concise and accurate manner for distribution to management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Computer Science.
  • Two to three years of experience in IT audits or IT risk and procedures.
  • Knowledge of internal auditing, controls, risk management, and finance and accounting practices and methods.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
