Purchasing Specialist

We are a leader in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, and manufacturing industry, seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our team.

This role involves supporting the procurement process within the organization by managing purchasing, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records of transactions.

The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to execute purchasing strategies and optimize cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage purchase orders (POs) for goods and services in line with business needs.
• Track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability while minimizing overstock.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage stock levels and ensure proper receipt and storage of materials.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchasing activities, supplier agreements, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, including inventory levels, costs, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role (2+ years preferred).
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
