Procurement Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for research and procure all materials required for construction electrical projects and ensure they are provided on time and within allocated budgets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, analyze, and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics.
Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.
Assess financial risks of purchases.
Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
Attend trade shows, product exhibitions, and conferences to maintain current understanding of new products and trends.
Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers.
Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
Ensure that the products and supplies comply with specifications.
Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
Work with team members and procurement managers to complete duties as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Evaluate bid and construction documents (drawing, specifications and understand)   REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
At least 1 year of experience in electrical materials and equipment preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
