As a key member of the Burlington Stores team, you will play a vital role in mitigating theft and fraud in high-risk areas of the store. Your primary responsibility will be to promote a safe and secure store environment, engaging with customers and associates in a manner consistent with our company core values.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for identifying and reporting theft incidents, driving shortage education and awareness to all associates, and providing leadership in the training and development of shortage control associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a strong deterrent to dishonest behaviors throughout the store by demonstrating a command presence and adhering to company dress code and protocols.
  • Maintain a safe and secure store environment through attention to detail, effective communication, and collaboration with store leadership.
  • Engage with customers and associates in high-risk areas, promoting a positive and respectful interaction that showcases our company's values.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of top shortage areas and support programs designed to identify and reduce theft.
  • Collaborate with store and field leaders to gather and document indicators of external theft, and support evidence gathering to address large-scale or organized retail crime.
  • Support store manager in providing internal controls and operational oversight, including conducting associate package/bag checks, monitoring point-of-sale transactions, and promoting Asset Protection programs.
  • Provide leadership in the onboarding and ongoing support of associate training in shortage reduction programs and processes.
  • Assist store leadership in the preparation and execution of the semi-annual inventory process and developing action plans to reduce shortage.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
