R CM Technologies, Inc. is a premier single-source provider of engineering, business, and technology solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Designer Lead to join our team.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Designer Lead to lead our electrical design team in creating comprehensive design packages for transmission line and substation projects. As an Electrical Designer Lead, you will be responsible for drafting assignments, including transmission, feeder, and substations outline drawings, protection and control models, as well as equipment general arrangements, SLDs, P&C, substations layouts, plans and elevations using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design standards and best practices within the electrical design team.
  • Liaise with project managers and other designers to ensure design requirements are met.
  • Lead a team of multidisciplinary designers to achieve complete design packages based on engineering input.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure designs meet technical specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of - years' experience as a CAD drafter/designer.
  • Experience working with Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • A basic understanding of electrical and civil concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and implement client CAD standards.
