About the Role

We are seeking a skilled School Social Worker to join our team at Amergis. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with educators and professionals to provide social work intervention and support in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop individualized service plans based on IEPs and support the curriculum using diagnostic information from various assessments.
  • Effectively transition students from therapy to classroom and classroom to therapy, while maintaining the dignity of the student.
  • Engage students in providing positive feedback using effective reinforcement techniques.
  • Interact effectively with students, family members, educational team members, and professionals outside the organization.
  • Utilize community, state, and national resources to promote the safety and welfare of students.
Requirements
  • Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract, and/or facility.
  • May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract, or facility.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR if applicable, TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable, and Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
