Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary:
       CTL Engineering is seeking a skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in performing geotechnical explorations and investigations for our clients, overseeing the technical aspects, and completion of these projects.
       You will leverage your expertise and creative problem-solving skills while collaborating closely with institutions, municipal agencies, architects, engineers, developers, and project teams to deliver customized geotechnical studies, reports, and solutions. From initial concept development to final execution, this role will guide projects through every stage of the land profile evaluation process, ensuring seamless integration and optimal results.

       Highlights of the job include interesting projects ranging from infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and one-off engineering. Projects are primarily located in Central Ohio, but this role will be responsible for overseeing geotechnical projects across the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities:
       • Performing and/or leading field investigations, engineering analyses, calculations, and recommendations.
       • Design and development of plans and specifications.
       • Observation and inspection, and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports.
       • Performing geotechnical explorations and investigations, soils/materials testing, maintenance of lab quality.
       • Interacting with clients to create new business by providing quality customer service and responsiveness.
       • Reviewing drawings and construction to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
       • Preparing proposals and cost estimates, tracking and evaluating project progress, budgets, and recommending changes.
       • Researching and resolving design and construction problems.
       • Assigning, reviewing, and evaluating laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports.
       • Mentoring/training lesser-experienced engineers and technicians.
       • Applying sound engineering principles and being able to communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams.

Requirements:
       • 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering on various civil projects.
       • PE licensure is required.
       • Possesses a valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
       • Education: BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is preferred, but not required.
