About the Role
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Infrastructure - Transportation/Bridge Team at our office in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our team, you will provide advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff.
- Provide advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide technical review of their work as needed.
- Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
- Select proper procedures to self-check your own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations.
- Identify, develop, and gather technical resources necessary to complete assignments.
- Continuously monitor the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 4 years' discipline-specific engineering experience required.
- 8 years' progressive technical experience preferred.
- Task management experience required.
- AASHTOWare BrR load rating experience required.
- Steel and Prestressed Concrete Bridge Design Experience required.
- ODOT experience strongly preferred.
