Project Portfolio Manager

This position is responsible for developing and implementing project management processes, methodologies, and governance structures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
The Portfolio Manager collaborates closely with senior leadership to define portfolio objectives, prioritize projects, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and change management skills, as well as a solid understanding of project management principles and best practices.
The Project Portfolio Manager will work with internal and external users to design, develop, integrate, and maintain applications to supporting business initiatives while achieving operating efficiency and information integrity under the guidance of CIO/PRESIDENT .
RESPONSIBILITIES: Portfolio Management: Strategically manage project portfolios to align with organizational objectives.
Prioritize projects based on strategic value and resource allocation.
Monitor portfolio performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.
Identify and mitigate risks inherent in project portfolios, proactively managing potential impacts.
Process Development and Oversight: Strategically manage project portfolios to align with organizational objectives.
Prioritize projects based on strategic value and resource allocation.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop project management plans aligned with organizational goals.
Define portfolio objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring success.
Conduct analysis to assess the impact of strategic decisions on project portfolios.
Ensure key performance indicators exist on all portfolio projects.
Continuous Improvement and Change Management: Implement change management strategies for successful project implementation.
Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Act as a change agent, championing project management best practices within the organization.
Team Leadership: Oversee insourced and outsourced project management and business analysis team members.
Ensure alignment with organizational objectives, performance expectations, and quality standards.
(SLAs) Provide leadership, guidance, and support to foster effective communication and collaboration.
Resource Management: Coordinate and monitor resource allocation across projects to optimize efficiency.
Budget Management: Coordinate and monitor resource allocation across projects to optimize efficiency.
Compliance Management: Coordinate and monitor resource allocation across projects to optimize efficiency.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and change management skills.
Proficiency in process mapping, identifying bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Project management Certification (PMP, CPM, CSM, PMI-ACP).
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Working knowledge of major computer systems and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead or participate effectively in teams.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Understanding of financial industry processes and policies.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in project management, with a focus on portfolio management and process development.
