Company Overview Our client, a leader in the beauty industry in Puerto Rico, is looking for an Accounting Manager .
This position oversees the financial and accounting operations of a group of subsidiaries in Puerto Rico.
Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Accounting Manager / Controller to join our team at Company.
The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing strategic financial analysis to support management decision-making.
Responsibilities and Duties: Supervise and coordinate all activities related to general accounting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations.
Manage the accounting close process and report to senior management.
Develop and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures.
Perform financial analysis and internal audits to identify areas for improvement.
Develop budgets and perform financial projections.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance, preferably in a management role overseeing the full accounting cycle.
Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced skills in accounting software and spreadsheet tools (Sage 50, Excel, and ERP systems).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
