Who we are looking for PurposeThe Medical Science Liaison has the primary responsibility of building key opinion leader (KOL) partnerships by engaging in the exchange of scientific data and other medical and/or scientific information with external stakeholders in the assigned Therapeutic Areas.
Main ResponsibilitiesExternal Relationship Management & Development:
Build external partnerships with recognized community and academic medical center KOLs.Identify and develop key thought leaders for medical education, clinical research, and publication opportunities.Cultivate existing and identify new collaborative KOL relationships.Provide field insights gained to field managers and team.Identify opportunities and provide medical support including scientific education to healthcare professionals at key institutions.Foster professional relationships in key institutions for Chiesi GRD.Recognize opportunities to facilitate cross-functional engagement.Identify and characterize need within therapeutic area related to real world evidence.Medical Affairs, Therapeutic Support, & Internal Collaboration:
Represent Chiesi GRD Medical Affairs at scientific meetings.Provide field-based medical affairs assistance for clinical research initiatives.Deliver high-caliber medical education presentations.Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence.Participate and contribute to publication planning and internal training initiatives.Partner cross-functionally to optimize customer experience.Contribute to monthly medical meetings.Project Work:
Lead and support internal medical projects.Support cross-functional projects and streamline medical input.Administrative Work:
Accurate and timely completion of all administrative reports and required training.Participate in continuing education to maintain expertise in the assigned therapeutic areas.Experience Required3-5 years clinical experience relevant to the Therapeutic Area.Exceptional communication skills.Work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams.Skillfully plan, prioritize, and execute multiple responsibilities.Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate flexibility during challenging situations.EducationCompletion of a graduate level degree (PharmD., M.D., D.O, PhD, MSN, MS or equivalent healthcare professional degree) as well as relevant clinical experience.
